Supporting Paddy Casey

Last week I got the amazing opportunity to support Paddy Casey. Paddy’s been a big inspiration to me especially in the early years of music. His first two albums had some real crackers on it.

He was and still is one of Ireland’s iconic voices and songwriters. Set to a backdrop of other songwriters like Declan O’Rourke, Mundy & Damien Dempsey, to name a few.

When I first saw him in 2004 he was one of an amazing line-up supports for Bob Dylan at Pearse Stadium Galway. It included Mundy, The Walls, Damien Dempsey, Paddy and the legendary Gary Moore!

All for 60 Quid!

The gig was in Ballintubbert House Laois - a hidden gem of a spot.
